Bridge Crane Manufacturers
Bespoke, high-capacity lifting solutions designed to maximise your operational footprint, delivering comprehensive corner-to-corner coverage for any facility.
Market Leading Design & Manufacture
A bridge crane is an essential, non-mobile lifting system used extensively in industrial settings to safely transport heavy loads within a designated rectangular bay. Consisting of a movable horizontal bridge that travels along elevated parallel runways, these systems provide unmatched, three-axis material movement (Vertical, Lateral, and Longitudinal).
Bridge crane systems are also commonly integrated within overhead crane and Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) crane configurations across manufacturing and heavy engineering environments.
Whether your application is based indoors or outdoors, involves delicate light-duty assembly, or demands heavy-duty lifting up to 125 tonnes, we can tailor your bridge crane entirely around your workplace constraints.
- Full Area Coverage for efficient multi-directional movement
- Complete bespoke manufacturing for specific industry sectors
- Significant Space Optimisation by utilising overhead building structures
- Optional integrations including walkways, floodlights, and remote access
Configurations & Types
Bridge cranes are supplied in various structural configurations to perfectly match different load capacities and facility designs.
Single Girder
Featuring one main bridge beam. This is generally the most cost-effective solution, commonly utilised for lighter to medium-duty applications (typically lifting up to 15 tonnes).
Double Girder
Featuring two parallel bridge beams. This configuration provides superior capacity, heightened structural stability, and often yields greater hook heights for heavy-duty lifting.
Top Running
The bridge travels on rails securely placed on top of the runway beams. These systems generally support significantly higher lifting capacities.
Under Running (Underhung)
The bridge is suspended from the bottom flange of the runway beams. This design is excellent for maximising floor space and taking advantage of existing ceiling structures.
Key System Components
Runways
Parallel beams or rails mounted to the structure allowing longitudinal travel.
Bridge
The main horizontal beam spanning the workspace, supporting the hoist.
End Trucks
House the heavy-duty wheels that allow the bridge to travel along the runways.
Trolley
The mechanism providing precise lateral (side-to-side) movement.
Hoist
The lifting unit utilising chain or wire rope to raise and lower the load.
We also provide specialist bridge crane repairs and maintenance services to support safe operation, long-term reliability, and ongoing LOLER compliance.
