Jib Crane Manufacturers

Flexible workstation lifting solutions designed for precise load handling in restricted or localised operational areas.

As experienced jib crane manufacturers, we design and build custom systems for precise, repeatable lifting at a single workstation or within a defined working area. Also known as swing jib cranes, these systems use a rotating arm to serve the surrounding space.

Where a full overhead crane would be unnecessary or impractical, a jib crane gives you fast, localised lifting without the cost or footprint of a larger system. We supply Safe Working Loads (SWL) from 125kg to 5 tonnes, with column heights and boom lengths ranging from 1m to 8m. As with all our systems, specification comes down to three things: the load to be lifted, the working radius the arm needs to cover, and the clear height available to work in.

Jib Crane Benefits

Jib Cranes

Mounting Types

We build to three core mounting types — the right option depends on what your building can support and the requirements of the lifting area:

Freestanding / Floor-Mounted Jib Cranes

Freestanding jib cranes bolt directly to the floor and carry the whole load themselves, so no wall or column support is needed, and the arm can typically slew a full 360 degrees.

Wall-Mounted Jib Cranes

Keeping the floor completely clear, these cranes fix to a structural wall — ideal where floor space is tight. Slew range is reduced from a freestanding system, since the wall itself sits behind part of the arc.

Column-Mounted Jib Cranes

Using an existing structural column or stanchion, there's no new pillar and no foundation to pour. Where a suitable column already sits near the lifting point, this is often the most straightforward and cost-effective jib crane option to install.

Features & Options

Beyond how a jib crane is mounted, a number of additional features can be specified, depending on the lift:

Powered Slew

Slewing can be operated manually or, for higher-cycle or heavier-load applications, by a powered drive — reducing operator effort on repeated lifts throughout a shift.

Luffing Design

A luffing jib crane allows the arm itself to be raised or lowered, adjusting the working radius without needing to reposition the whole crane — useful where reach requirements vary across a workstation.

Under-Braced & Over-Braced Design

An over-braced jib carries its support tie above the boom, while an under-braced design sits the brace below it, freeing the space above for the hoist to travel. Clear height availability will typically determine which is the better fit.

Articulated Arm

A two-section, hinged arm design that lets the hook reach around obstacles, into corners or through doorways that a single straight boom couldn't manage, this is useful where the working area isn't a simple open arc.

Safety & Compliance

LOLER Certification

As responsible jib crane manufacturers, we supply full LOLER certification, with ongoing LOLER inspection and servicing available to keep equipment compliant and operating safely.

Controls & Hoist Options

Controls are available as cable pendant or wireless radio remote, and a range of hoists are supported including wire rope, chain hoists and manual chain blocks — matched to the lift and specified during design.

Designed for efficient, repeatable lifting with operator-friendly controls, our jib cranes perform reliably even in restricted spaces such as workshops with low ceilings. For lightweight workstation lifting and modular handling systems, we also supply lightweight crane systems and runways tailored to specific operational environments.

Beyond manufacturing, our experienced team provides specialist jib crane repairs and maintenance, ensuring your equipment remains safe, compliant and fully operational with minimal downtime.
